Colony Luncheonette

 The Colony, which replaced the original Cookies, was located on the corner of  East 16^th Street and Avenue J. It was  neighborhood place for 5 cent cokes, burgers, fries, milk shakes, a formidable hot roast beef sandwich with gravy and mashed potatoes,  or the  standard  tuna sandwich.
