Brooklyn Borough Hall
Acrylic/canvas 36x 48” 2002
What a grand building! Originally built in 1848 in the Greek Revival style then popular for public buildings, Brooklyn Borough Hall is one of New York City’s greatest landmarks. The entrance is on Joralemon street between Adams and Court Streets in the heart of the municipal and court system of Brooklyn. It has survived fire and various forms of urban abuse only to be restored and reopened in 1989 to it’s former elegance as Brooklyn moves into the next century.
